Federation
Because Matrix protocol is a decentralized, federated service, your messages or files will be sent to all participants in the room.
We will forget your data upon your request. But there’s no guarantee other homeservers will do the same.
Federated homeservers are located anywhere in the world, and are subject to local laws and regulations.
Bridging
When you are using (our/other homeserver’s) bridging services, this might include, but not all, Discord, Slack, Telegram or IRC service. We have no control with the data on the other side, please use as your own risk.
Our bridging services, mautrix-discord and mautrix-slack are end-to-bridge encrypted.

Forgetting your Data
We will forget your data by you deactivate your account. We ensure data is forgotten and is not visible to future users. Deactivated your account will remove any of your data from the pendora.io homeserver database.
Remove (redact) messages will no longer be accessible to other users. But your display name and avatar will still be visible. Federated homeservers and some matrix clients may not honour the redaction request.
